As an avid volunteer, I previously provided assistance in the memory care section of Willow Valley Communities.  Being aware of the facilities and care provided, I knew if I ever needed that support, I would be very happy there.  I was not interested in moving to a senior living community.  I love my home and my neighborhood, but I was looking for an option so that I did not become a burden on my family.  Additionally, long-term care insurance doesn’t provide assurance of access to a quality care facility like Willow Valley.  With SmartLife, should I need care, my family doesn’t have to worry about “shopping around” for that if it becomes necessary.  My advice?  Be really clear on what is important in this next stage of life.  I don’t want my family to feel a burden in caring for me – I would rather spend our time together doing things that will create great memories.
